SoulHealing HairStories

What is This?

"Gray hair is a crown of glory..." Proverbs 16:31

This is a Divinely Guided call to Women of African descent, 55 years and older, who were raised in the United States to share your unique hair stories.  It's true that everyone, despite culture, ethnicity, skin tone or status, has a Hair Story. However, we highly melinated women "of a certain age"  must tell our SoulHealing HairStories pre, during and post COVID 19.  No one else can tell us our story! We must speak up and speak out. WE MUST!

As Women of Poise and Grace, (meaning 55 plus), sharing our Hairstories is a transformational act. In addition to numerous children's books about black hair, we now have "The Crown Act" of July, 2019, which stipulates that "Hair is an extension of one's race." There is also the Blackish episode of "Hair Day" and  "Hair Love" by Matthew A. Cherry, which won him an Oscar for best animated short film in February, 2020, plus Natural Hair, The Movie, etc.

 1. Growing up, what familial messages were you given about your hair and how does it affect you today?

2.What is your personal relationship with your hair in all aspects?

3. Share your best life hair affirming experience.

4. If your hair could talk, what would it say?

5.What wisdom would you pass on to our younger generation of Sistas?
